I welcome you to my practice on how be happy and in control of your destiny through
solution-Focused therapy, which explores a myriad of answers/solutions to problems
brought up in our sessions. Happiness is learning how to take control of your life,
create and manage tools to help you through difficult times and events and the
development of goals that will help your reach your dreams in life. As we complete the
first quarter of the 21st century we are faced with a world that has caused us to be
uncertain, fearful and hopeless. It is my hope that through therapy programs, books and
lectures help clients establish a new set of foundations and boundaries to help
them achieve success throughout the rest of your life. I work with individuals, families,
and relationships. I believe that clients can create solutions to conflicts. As a trained
and experienced therapist, I can help navigate sessions to help clients choose how to
resolve their issues that they struggle with. I believe that clients are responsible for their
own behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. As a counselor, I hope to promote client’s
greater self-awareness through evaluating and resolving their life experiences that lead
to increased confidence, self-esteem, independence, mental health, and the capacity to
effectively navigate the complex challenges of life.
I am passionate about helping adults and children find a healthy direction in life. I have
written 2 books on ways to help individuals and families learn how to be happy and
create a life of success. My 1 st book is “Choose to be Happy!” explores what causes a
person to be sad, both physical and mentally and what causes a person to be happy,
both physically and mentally. Through reading this book you will learn how to redirect
your brain and life in a positive direction that will turn sadness into happiness. Book 2
was “Parenting 101: How to raise a child to become a successful teenager.” This book
was inspired by my work with children at Texas Children’s Hospital Emergency Room.
Most of the children had mental health issues because they failed to have effective
copings skills to deal with conflicts and parents were lost when it came to disciplining
children in an effective manner. The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 is on parent
discipline techniques and Part 2 is on teaching children 10 effective coping skills to
allow children to deal with conflicts in a healthy manner. Both books are a sample of my
training, experience and knowledge in working with individuals who are need help to
boost their self-esteem.
